Just remember to leave it cleaner than you found it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/Manor+Park+Public\/@45.4510259,-75.6549777,18z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xccfc484403a3a5f1!8m2!3d45.450266!4d-75.6559639\"><strong>Manor Park School Park<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nWhile the land on which Manor Park Public School is located is owned by the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, much of it is rented by the City of Ottawa and maintained as a public park. There are baseball diamonds which are rented out by the city, a soccer field, tennis courts, and a children\u2019s play area with a splash pad. The city also cooperates with the Manor Park Community Council in providing a skating rink during the winter months.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/Anthony+Vincent+Park,+Ottawa,+ON+K1K+0E4\/@45.4532725,-75.6595643,18z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cce05345dfe6975:0xd2a5c8d2c1338339!8m2!3d45.4534365!4d-75.6590733\"><strong>Anthony Vincent Park<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThis is hard to find if you don\u2019t know where to look! Reached either by the foot paths that take you across Manor Park from Arundel to Eastbourne, or through a small gap between the houses on Farnham, this is simply a green space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/Hemlock+Park,+Ottawa,+ON\/@45.4490615,-75.650477,18z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cce054eb3efd423:0x824de2fc8b7717df!8m2!3d45.4493261!4d-75.6498156\"><strong>Hemlock Park<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThis park is located between Hemlock Road and Meadow Drive, behind the Rockliffe Crossing Plaza. The park includes an open green space and children\u2019s play structures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/London+Terrace+Park,+Ottawa,+ON\/@45.4509356,-75.6512065,18z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cce054befcb1e77:0x7fbe925c758bd617!8m2!3d45.4509481!4d-75.649589\"><strong>Alvin Heights Park and London Terrace Park<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThese parks are located on either side of London Terrace.\u00a0 Alvin Heights Park on the north side has play structures as well as a large wading pool in the summer months. On the south side, London Terrace Park is a large open green space.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cardinal Glen Park<\/strong><br \/>\nLocated on the north side of Dunbarton as you enter Cardinal Glen. There are a children\u2019s play structures and other facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mile Circle<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the open area between Sandridge Road and the Sir George Etienne Cartier Parkway. It is owned by the National Capital Commission and is essentially left alone, with the exception of a few benches and small parking areas.\u00a0 There is an unofficial foot path that cuts through the centre of the space.\u00a0 Most of the meadow area is an off-leash zone for dogs.\u00a0 At the far west end there is a forested area, more open space, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/Rockcliffe+Rockeries\/@45.4547282,-75.6794346,17z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xd5b4aca093212b17!8m2!3d45.4547282!4d-75.6772459\">The Rockeries<\/a> (a more landscaped walking path with a few historical plaques and artifacts).<\/p>\n<p><strong>NCC Multi-Use Pathways<\/strong><br \/>\nThe paved multi-use pathway runs alongside the Sir George Etienne Cartier Parkway. There is also an unpaved path at level with the river, just north of the paved pathway.\u00a0 These paths can be accessed from Birch Ave, or from the foot path at the end of Blasdell, which crosses a small creek.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/McKay+Lake\/@45.4516919,-75.6716245,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cce052e138a2dc3:0x75bbb25848595515!8m2!3d45.4520958!4d-75.6703125\"><strong>MacKay Lake<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nMacKay Lake and its little twin, The Pond, can be best reached by taking Sandridge Road, which turns into Hillsdale Rd.\u00a0 There is an entrance gate to the foot path just where the lake meets the road.\u00a0 It is a great place to see local wildlife.\u00a0 There is also public swimming in the Pond from 7 AM to 2 PM daily between June and September.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Cycling Trails and Routes&#8221;
