Manor Park Community Garden at St. Columba – Apply today!

 In Gardening, Uncategorized
Do you live in or near Manor Park? Do you want to build community connections and have a space to grow vegetables in a brand-new community garden? The Manor Park Community Garden at St. Columba is now accepting applications of interested gardeners!

The garden will be located behind St. Columba Anglican Church at 24 Sandridge Road. Regular plots will be raised beds that are 8 ft x 5 ft and 2 ft tall. Shared plots will mean that 2 applicants share a regular plot – each gardener will therefore have 4 ft x 5 ft of growing space in a raised bed.
Accessible plots will be raised beds that are 8 ft x 4ft and 2.5 ft (30 inches) tall. The garden can be accessed by foot or bicycle from Sandridge Road or through the gravel path from Arundel Avenue. There is OC Transpo bus service (Route 7) in front of the Church on Sandridge and parking on-site.

It will not be long until planting can begin. The deadline for applications is Sunday May 15 at 8pm and the application link is here. If you have any questions or require a paper / PDF application please email the coordinators at manorparkcommunitygarden@gmail.com
